Artist Reply: Thank you Charles ! It's the Iron Wolf standing on the hill that Grand Duke Gediminas heard in a dream. A pagan priest Lizdeika told him that the dream meant that he should build a fortress on top of the hill and found a new city that will become the capital of Lithuania ... Vilnius ! The resounding howl of the wolf meant that the city will be known worldwide.
