Strawberry Skyline

Dedicated to Christine Calderons LOve of Horses and her enthusiasm. Thought i would break up my routine of uploading my surreal works and show my first commissioned work for horse owners in pencil on 22"X28" museum board. Yes, i also do portrait work from time to time although not my specialty (: . Hope you enjoy it. Copyright 2004 by Imaginative pencil and myself. All rights reserved.

This is simply awesome! Never mind the 10, I wish I could give this a 12!! This is one of the most original and creative works of equine art I have seen in some time. I love how the mare and foal exude a calming sense of peace, yet the vibrancy and richness of the details all around them fill the work with energy and life! If I read your description on this piece correctly, then I find it refreshing to see a commissioned equine portrait that is not oppressed by the inhibitions of photorealism. Just EXCELLENT!
