That temple is one of the oldest in Ubud. It was very close to my house. When people come to the island they see that all religious constructions have the same type inside and outside. That is not totally true, though. All decorative elements of all existing temples are totally unique and never repeat themselves. In 1960 the amount of the temples was appr 20000. Just think about it! Now it is even more. I started to notice the difference only after some time of staying on the island. Because so much decoration everywhere and so many colors also - around and inside the territory! Seems crazy, but that's so terrific when suddenly you can start to differ the old school masters' works and modern, the generations of masters and their places of birth. That temple is my favourite, one of the most beautiful on the islands. I saw many, but none of them with the facade like this.
