Golfito, Costa Rica in the Rain

This is a 12x18 watercolor from life. We were anchored out in this little bay for several months in 2002 during the rainy season in Costa Rica. Golfito is just a few miles from the border with Panama. The rainy season means it rains 5 days a week. During the dry season, it rains only 3 days a week here. We loved it here and were sad to leave.

I love the atmospheric haze effect, almost smoky, and the shapes you've worked into the trees are interesting.
