Not as common as they once were back when I was a kid on Oahu, but I've occasionally seen these tiny birds here in Molokai. White-eyes live on most tropical islands in the Indian Ocean, western Pacific Ocean & the Gulf of Guinea. Japanese white-eyes (mejiros) were introduced to Hawaii in the late 20's.
