This was also a part of the wrinkles series. I painted a hand of an old man wearing 5 rings and leaning on a stick. Each one of these rings have a certain meaning depending on the color of it. Yellow stands for cheerfulness which represented his childhood. Orange represents action which mostly occurred in his teenage years. Grey stands for reliability which he gained in the first stages of his adulthood. Purple stands for the wisdom he has as he gained more experience in his life. Black represents power and that’s what he has as an old man running his family of three generations. The 6th ring is nonexistent at the moment and its fulfillment or perfection in life and that’s the ring that no one will ever have and would always lie about having because what kind of perfection leads you to death. That’s the ring that we believe we will receive in our next life.
