Waipio Valley on the Big Island of Hawaii has a black sand beach that shows off breathtaking sunrises. This painting is unique in that it has a sculpted surface as well as a painted one.

Sussex seized the spirit of the Waipio Valley Sunset, distilled it, and rendered it with her virtuosity to canvas as only she can. Absolutely enchanting study of prismatic properties of oceanic interactions to sunset radiance as is characteristically themed and mastered by this artist, Sussex.
