Inspiration for this art was from a photo I took when I spent a lot of time observing whitetail deer in the Machickanee Forest, Oconto County, Wisconsin. The 36 square mile forest unit had fire lanes that could be used to manage and put out any fires that started on the parcel of land. These fire lanes provided great access for hunters, hikers, snowmobiles etc., and made the area a great place to enjoy the wilderness.
