Men are taught that they must conceal their emotions and their pain from an early age. Trouble is, holding strong emotion in damages internals and emotions become confused. Sorrow is manifested as anger, fear as aggression, etc. I've never felt more purified than after a good cry but it took a long time for me to acknowledge it. This is, indeed, a tortured soul in need of a deluge of tears, Daniela.
