Why is it that the true visionaries on this site rarely make it to the top ten. This is a good example. Creative, emotive, and original style portraiture. For god's sake images like this one should be able to beat a rose, or a fractal once in a while.

very interesting use of contour and expressive lines in the face that create great subtilty, the backgrounds working almost like stained glass
