This was a commissioned work. I was asked to produce a contemporary painting of a young woman as a uniquely personal wedding gift for her husband-to-be. The brief was to produce an intimate portrait of a classical nature which was tasteful without being graphic (in case her mother-in-law saw it) ..... and this was the result.
