This is a commissioned pastel portrait of a 17 year old Shih Tzu. Her owner wanted the portrait to portray Biscuit as she looked in her prime, sitting in a bed of fall leaves and wearing her favorite scarf. Unfortunately, she had no reference photos to correspond with her requests, so I took what I had and made the rest up. Challenging! But all was well...she loved it. Whew!

Wonderful pastel work! I would have thought this was done with paint. I have yet to try pastels. You do it very well and I'm sure your customer was pleased with this piece!sher richardson 01 Jan 2005
