I drew this image.... Wow!! Over 5 years ago. I had a thing about hair...(and still a little now), the textures, colours, cuts, styles and lengths. When I was younger - at school there were lots of girls with about four style on the hair, it always amused and fasinated me. And one of my favourite stories as a child was Repanzel. so born of that came this image and images like this. This image was on A3 paper portrait, all done using generic colouring penicls. The Original image is with the UK marketing manager of Amercrombie and Fitch. And it was my first pencil piece...really don't like the profile. So love the hair. I have improved on the profiles since then.

Yow! That hairdo looks heavy! Either she is wearing every extension in her collection all at once, she has an insane hairstylist, or she has some wild genes! Very creative! I love the whimsical originality in this. This is a powerfully amusing statement on the overemphasis so many place upon thier hair in concessions of vanity or to gain social acceptance. Very well done.
