Paddle wheelers are found worldwide and old riverboat America had a part in Mark Twain's novels. Once used for High school reading, these old American adventures are still appreciated when re-read as adults. This is in spite of an ever-changing political incorrectness in the country we call home. Built quickly to serve a river boat lifestyle, they often had short lives as romantic floating tinder boxes (physically and emotionally).
