This commissioned and inspired painting is a non traditional representation of the third "person" of the Trinity, The Holy Spirit, depicted as a femal person. Since God made people in "their image and likeness" why wouldn't the Holy Spirit look like a person as well? The painting shows various galaxies in the background and holding the Earth in her hands. The feathers covering her arms represent the traditional wings of the dove described at the baptism of Our Lord. Her nails appear as tongues of fire and her hair has hints of the fire as well. Her sheer beauty points to the beauty of God, creator of the universe.
