This is a drawing of a newly-wed couple, where the hubby comes from
work, all tired and wife is pounding some hot spice to make food for him
while he comes in silently and surprises her with a
little bit of romance.
Lovely - my family doctor is from India - he just retired and I miss him so much - he used to give me the best recipes for Indian food and I'd give him the hottest peppers my garden would produce. The man in his piece reminds me of him (when he was much younger). Excellent job of capturing the mood.
Wow...love the emotion and story of this picture! You expressed so much love in one piece...breathtaking... However, his forehead does look a bit warped, and his grip a bit tight...still an AMAZING piece!!!
I have never been to India, but I have always been a big admirer of...the colors, the tempo of living, the faces..and this reflects so much of that. Also your artistery is of big value.More from India...please.
Lovely emotional work Jolly... and the yellow so vibrant to give her that angelic life inspiring feel... she is excellently done Jolly...his clutching hand so dramatic... great to see you and your work back! : )
