Paradise Found

Wonder Woman/Diana Prince are TRADEMARK and COPYRIGHT by Warner Communications/DC Comics 2004. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. This is a "censored" version of an earlier submitted work. Hopefully the masking bars across the butt and breast are sufficient for ARTWANTEDs guidelines, if not, try and see her while you can! I did this piece in multiple stages. The original picture I drew and painted with watercolor and brush and ink. Then I used an Exacto knife and cut her out, made some Grecco-Roman type clothing for her with a sheer mesh fabric I purchased at a craft store and gold cord from a gift box with some transparent-drying craft glue. Thus clothed I painted a background scene on another 18x24 inch sheet of bristol--- a seascape--- then used cut squares of styrofoam, glued to the back of "wonder woman" to give the pop-up 3-D feel that she is literally coming out of the scene. I used the same technique in my MAXINE picture. It was an enjoyable process and I am considering what other type of images I can do that would benefit from it...

too bad you had to censor this

Artist Reply: I hated censoring the image, the bar was over an area where a nipple might be seen ( but on breasts this size, from this angle no ) and a butt shown covered by actual translucent fabric. What was the point?! She is an Amazon on Paradise Island, not a stripper trying to protect a strip club's liquor license!
