Long Viscious Ropes are Hanging

In 1946 Salvador Dali painted his version of "The Temptations of Saint Anthony", I painted my version in 2002, but I titled my personalized version; "Long Vicious Ropes are Hanging". This is my own personalized version of an old master painting titled "The Temptation of Saint Anthony". Salvador Dali, Max Ernst, Ivan Albright and a few other modern artists also made their own versions of "The Temptation of Saint Anthony for a competition for material for a film version of Guy de Maupassant's "Bel Ami". Max Ernst won the competition. My version shows the four monsters of temptation, who hide in my closet, and continually seek to devour me; money, pride, lust and fame. This also is the first of many pictures, where I use four birds to represent my four children as my four guardian angels. My four children got me through the toughest two years of my life. Then for the next 17 years unto now I raised them by myself.

I don't even know how to start saying how much I have always admired this painting. "Your Temptation of St. Anthony" is so much more beautiful than Salvador Dali's version… even though it is one of my favorite Dali's, it just doesn't measure up to yours Dear Brother!
