"Kurt Vonnegut: Prolific Author," c.2014, is an ink/pen piece done on a 16" x 20" canvas board, as a tribute to another great Hoosier. He was so prolific, there is no way I could have put all of his books and publications on this piece. As you browse this art piece, remember that many of his stories are inspired by the fact that he was held captive during WWII, by the Nazis in Dresden. As a prisoner of war, he was kept in a building basement and in a cooler. Fortunately, this germ ridden environment saved his life and other held in Dresden, because the fires could not get through to them in their secluded shelter. He received a Purple Heart for his service to the United States of America.
