Bridges of the Park #1

on 11 X 15 400 cold press paper using light pencil drawing, drew landscape scribed high point within the work. Taking an eraser remove the light pencil. Ithen started working ground carbon Coal into the illusion you see. Spraying the work with hair spray to lock the light crystals of coal into a sheet of dense smoky crystals.

David: extremely creative and a very interesting technique. Beautifully done. Best regards, Will

Artist Reply: Thank you Will, reviews from artist are always welcomed. This is the first of series of bridges from the national Parks of Ca. I worked in for 26 years for AT&T From Yosemite North to Fraser to the South. Spent my spar time in the Sierras since 51 till 2008. Breaking my back and losing my use of right foot, allows viewing but no climbing.

awsome job

Artist Reply: Lawrence, thank you this is a first of a new series of bridges of the parks I worked in California. Again thank you for taking the time to say something nice. Carbon Coal allows to build a cap and not lock the fibers of the paper as Ink does. Do use now Mixed inks with minerals to get that lower as with the Ink compared to the minerals that build layers.
