Black Opal

"This beautiful 12 point triple star box kite was built and is being flown by Bill Goble of Portland, Oregon. The original design is by Edmund Foskett of England and has been enlarged upon by Bill Goble. The intricacies of design and colorful patterns make this kite a fascinating addition to the sky."

Artist comment: "How very wonderful it is to see the many bright and colorful kites at any of the kite flying events around the world. When an international venue is held on the west coast of Washington State, I cannot miss the opportunity to go and research the newest and most creative designs. This beautiful multi-winged box kite was truly one of the best. It seemed to shimmer in the sky. When I returned to my Olympia, Washington studio, it was my first choice to render with oil on canvas. The design was so intriguing; the colors so well placed. I enjoyed every moment of this 'labor of love'."
