8x10 inches Embroidery portrait of Chris Ortega, a classmate, fellow Artist that was brutally murdered in his Asheville, North Carolina Apartment Oct 26, 2013. He was a painter, like me. I am painting his likeness in threads. I created this to fit a 8x10 area and am currently making it using a 9inch round hoop. It is backed on printed cotton. I used embroidery floss thread to make this. This is only my third such portrait. Typically I am spending 30-40 hours to make a finished portrait of this scale.
