October 8th I fear that Benden has quite given up hope on our quest to find that elusive pixie dragon. For weeks on end we have done naught but catalogue various breeds of flying mer. This evening we found ourselves examining a rare, freshwater breed that had been placed in a lake in Germany. It was quite the successful experiment in transporting this almost extinct species to a new habitat. Hopefully they will flourish in their new home. What is this? Benden has just come in and is babbling so excitedly I can barely understand what he's saying. Something about... no. He's got to be insane.
