James Cash Penney

Penney, James Cash (1875-1971), an American merchant, established the J. C. Penney Company. Penney began his career as a clerk in a general store. He bought a partnership in a store in Wyoming in 1902, and later established new stores in partnership with men he trained. These stores were first called the Golden Rule stores. Executive portraiture commissioned for display for the anniversary of the stores founding. ( i know this is boring but someones collecting work for updated catalog) Graphite/32x24

I knew I recognized this face, but it didn't strike me until I pulled it up. This is really awesome! Too bad his company isn't what he would have had it to be.
