59 Chevy Impala Hardtop

It's so true!  The 59 Chevy Impala Hardtop is hard to beat for extreme Fifties-Modern Design.  Those horizontal sweeping fins were a complete surprise to car fans back-in- the-day.  And Chevrolet was pretty gutsy to catch the other manufacturers with their pants down with its introduction. ~:0) I guess that's so.  I don't know.  Probably a big dose of my opinion.  And that's naturally fine with me.  But that's not what I want to talk about today - so much.  Yeh I love the 59 Chevy Impala.  Especially this great looking Black Bewdy!  That red trim on the chrome is fab no doubt.  The nice flair on the wheel arches is might fine.  But enough talk about them.  Let's talk about me - Ha! Nobody's brought this up.  Well except for that one guy.  But it's funny.  He was completely wrong about what he was talking about at the time.  Though regarding this pix he'd be right.  But I make no Post- Production claims on this print.  What am I talking about?  Ha - don't U wish U knew. Here's what I'm ranting about.  Much of my photo-work is strong on post-production.  It's no secret.  I take a sky photo I've done and work it into a car picture I've made.  No worries there.  But on this 59 Chevy Impala photograph it's all one shot!  No compositing.  The format is how originally shot.  The background - the sky - was there that day.  Except for one or two small things I took outta the shot that I didn't like.  Otherwise - as hey say - all original.  I'm so proud - sorta ~:0) Obviously I do work with tone and contrast b/c my goal in my photos is to create a foto- memory.  I think they call it art!  I make the photos mimic the way our brain and heart remember fondly important moments.  I've shared this b/4 in this venue but I reckon it's due for another mention.  Here at VivaChas! the goal isn't to simply make a print.  The purpose is to re-create the way we remember meaningful events in our lives.  And those events are painted in bold and often garish strokes. There!  I've had me say.  Whew!  I feel better.  Shame I've got to be reminding everyone again.  U see - if I were incredibly popular - read rich and famous - I wouldn't have to restate my artistic manifesto every so often.  Or maybe I would.  It's an artist thing.  So there - now we can move on.  U should get a print of this bewdy of a 59 Chevy Impala - look great on ur wall ~:0) VivaChas!? 59 Chevy Impala Hardtop at Hot Rodney Hot Rods & VivaChas!

Tis true... the wings of '59... Chrysler and GM just went at it... and then the 60's... and then...well, the rest is history...

Artist Reply: That's what I hear ~:0) Love a nice cruiser but mine is usually a pickup - put the tailgate down and it's all fins in back - Ha! ~:0) VivaChas!
