Very fine work. The juxtaposition of ballet dancers rising in defiance of the force of gravity with the rolling ocean is fitting because dance, which releases the grounded soul, and the ocean, which rolls on without constraints, represent freedom.

Artist Reply: thank you. you have good insight into this painting. The location is the Ocean Beach Pier in San Diego. The ballerinas are located in my head.
