Study VI / Kaya Mahca Series

The term abstract or non objective has been a peculiar paradigm in 20th century modernism. This momentary absence of the object became a justification to recruit formal elements, such as line, light and colour. Most interesting is to discover our own desire for the narrative in order to redefine or reinvent our alphabet; such is the case of Pollock and Motherwell. Today we are confronted once again to the same dilemma, what is first the chicken or the egg?

Exquisite work! The depth and texures are incredible!

Artist Reply: Charmaine, Thank you for your comment. The truth of the matter I was somewhat surprised you were the first person to comment after more than a year of its publication. I was beginning to wonder what really triggers people to react, aside from the projection of ones personal issues or what we understand as our immediate private reality.
