Elegant Loneliness

Patti Jo. The reality of this pose is beautiful and pure. You have captured the moment in time and with it...her dignity and poise.

you have captured her dignity, her stubborn nature and her humanity. The strength of this woman is so evident. I love the way the light fades from soft prussian blue to darks in the shadow areas behind her. this has a very classic feel, much as you might find in a museum of the masters. Bravo.

I am going to part from my friends. The lighting is good. But when doing a portrait, it is never flattering to pose the subject as you did. the shoulder looks bigger than it should. All you need to do is have her turn slightly toward you while keeping the face in profile. If you cropped this portrait above the front of the dress showing slightly, the portrait becomes stronger.
