"Mother and Daughter" close- up of daughter, Isabella. Haunting and beautiful, this child knows she is safe in her mother's embrace.

Phenomenal!!! Created with the insightful depth of expression of Professor Paul Ekman. More than looking at me but looking into me as our eyes lock. Her gaze is an electrifying intromission of pure innocent beauty. Her spirit stays with me. A tantalizing phosphene. An “afterimage” of sentience.

THIS IS BEAUTIFUL DEBORAH !!!!! I DO SEASCAPES, LANDSCAPES AND SOME ANIMALS BUT I CAN NOT DO PORTRAIT PAINTINGS.. HAVE A FEW PENCIL PORTRAITS BUT AND I KNOW I DON'T BELONG "THERE"...LOL.. THIS IS WONDERFUL.. JOANIE

Artist Reply: Thank-you Joanie. By far this is my absolute favorite thing I've ever done. It's Isabella. She is so beautiful! You can and will do portraits, Joanie. Just think of the faces as mountains with peaks and valleys and think of the hair as water. Think of the eyes as dew drops. The reflections are the same I promise you. :)

What a touching expression on her face.

Deborah, this painting is absolutely beautiful, so soft and gentle. I almost took it for a pastel, great job.

Artist Reply: Thank-you Cindy! I think I wrote you a separate email saying how interesting it is that folks think I paint with pastels. I am complimented by this because that is a very difficult medium with beautiful results. A master in the pastel medium is Mary Aslin. Go to her website: http://maryaslin.com/ Her work is astounding! Tell her I sent you!
