The Elder Speaks (detail)

This acrylic painting is of Chief David Bald Eagle as he speaks to his people. He speaks of how his people are losing thier identity and history and how important it is for each and every one to help teach the world of their culture. I hope that in my own way that I, too, am helping to educate the world of the beautiful culture that is on the verge of extinction. These are real people that I have had the wonderful opportunities to photograph and to get to know as friends. I hope you enjoy these photos and paintings as much as I enjoyed getting them.
