Orpen Dam - a comparison

Two photos at the same location showing how vastly different the scenery can be in the dry season versus a good season with lots of rain. The many hippos in the dams and rivers give rise to lots of algae that area threat to other animals and sometimes the environment has to be burned to force the hippos to move away and get grazing elsewhere Floods also help to clear the dams and rivers of algae which is better than culling the animals
