ADDED close up, will actually it's a photo of the framed version. i liked the glass effect, so i didn't do any cropping or such... this still life rendered using split complimentary colors only. fun exercise in making do with what you have.

Some of my favourite colour combinations.Reminds of the late sixties/early seventies of what was used in decorating, clothing and art. Someone once told me that a still life I did of lemons in a silver bowl and sitting on cloth was "pretty but boring and not interesting enough to sell".I still atest to the fact that many people, artists and non artists alike, are drawn to simpler still lifes for the reason that they are simpler and elegant.I believe it is harder to make a "simple" composition look appealing then to toss in everything including the kitchen sink.Keep up the excellent work Barbara!
