A couple of male veiltail Betta Splendens. Another piece done for the IBC show hosted by the California Betta Society in 2011 but I flaked out and didn't get a chance to send it. Had this idea back in December of 2010 but didn’t get it done until recently. I was also testing out some of my new Fabercastell pencils on this piece. The green fish is colored with Fabercastells, the orange fish with my prismacolors. The background is scrapbook paper I bought and behind that is white cardstock with blue tissue paper glued onto it. I chose green and orange because I don’t think I’ve colored too many green and orange betas before. A couple, yes, but way less than blue or red.
