In the Forest

I hate most of this painting. Expecpt for the background. And the knees. Ug, if you have any suggestions on it they would be appreciated. *** Additional note: Since people have been wondering about the angle, I made the knees huge because of my own hatred of my thighs. By exagerating and poking fun at myself I thought I'd work through it a bit. But as everything, art means different things for different people. So take from this what you will.

I really enjoy the altered perspective - in fact it's what made me chose this one as the first one to comment on. This speaks to me much more about self perception than some social statement. Wonderful work - you are right, people see things many different ways, don't they!

Your emphaising of the knees makes this work memorable;other wise it would have been just another preety piece

I THINK THAT YOU HAVE CAPTURED A SAD REALITY ABOUT WOMEN WHEN THEY REACH A CERTAIN AGE AND DO NOT EXERCISE. THEY HAVE A SMALL UNDERDEVELOPED UPPER BODY OF HUGE LEGS. EVEN WHEN THEY START TO EXERCISE, IT IS VERY HARD TO RESHAPE YOU BODY ONCE IT IS IN BAD SHAPE. I THINK THIS PAINTING IS PERFECT FOR OUR TIMES, WHEN EVERYONE OVER EATS, UNDER EXERCISE, AND SIT WATCHING T.V. WAY TOO MUCH.

Uh. What to say? :-) You did it well again, but to be honest I do not like this one. Surely it is my personal opinion, but I think art themes should feast the eyes. I think this one a bit... fatty "food". :-)
