I can no longer view your art. It is as if I have bitten off more than I can chew. I am saddened in the sense that my work could never measure up to the quality of yours. You are more talented than I would imagine anyone had the right to be. You know something that I know nothing of. Linda Mason

Artist Reply: well thats a bit over the top sweet Linda... your work is stunning and evolving just as mine is. It is a pleasure to read your thoughts and know that you appreciate my work. May God bless your hand and brush.

The work is excellent, the resemblance too, but why the disturbing techture background? Imagine Van Eyck or Holbein or even Durer trying to distroy the panel their assistants prepared for them after layers and layers of gesso?

Artist Reply: ha! thats a fun response Zom... actually, this texture is one of the few things that identify my work among a sea of realistic painters today. I like it thick and juicy... and for some reason, it seems to set off the softer features of the faces that I paint. I do not compare myself to those masters you mentioned... wish I could, but its just not so. Guess I am a realist and kinda humble. I will always be a student until the day I die. My theory is that the moment you stop learning...is the moment you stop growing and evolving as an artist.

Truly one of my favorite pieces of all time. This is just too amazing for mortal words. Forgive me. It's a masterpiece! Bottom line. Brando Lives! Thank you.
