This is a story behind the premise that during an enormous metaphysical act, we became fragmented versions of our real Selves, dividing ourselves into various versions of dualities. One of the dualities that resulted was division into opposite sexes. Prior to this, we were as one with no gender division. Intimacy through sexual union was sought as a lesser substitute for the now inaccessible, indescribably blissful, state of Oneness with God. The Alpha and Omega symbols appear growing out from a vertical center dividing line. This line represents the state of being where no split mindedness occurs. It can't be depicted, because it does not exist on the level of form. Many other symbols appear within the details of the painting. The colorful, curved lines which frame the picture tell the tale of concepts surrounding our origins. They outline the shape of a container which represents the womb. Omega symbols emerge from the "star" at the heart center of the white figure representing God. The center "star" can be seen as an egg as it drops from the fallopian tubes. Below, the upright rosebud penetrates the womb to fertilize the "egg". Alternately, the outer curved lines trace the shape of the sinus cavity; the heart center "star" then becomes the third eye. This references Course and other teachings relating to the mind as the builder. The horizontal center of one of the Alpha symbols forms an altar upon which lilies have been placed. These correspond to text in the Course which states, "you have lain your lilies upon the altar".
