Morning Mist

Let’s begin with this remarkable statement. This photo is composed of USDA all natural ingredients. No “weird-stuff” happened here – well not in the photo – though it is rather “fuzzy” b/c of all the crazy mist in the environment where the snap happened – read on ~:0) In our recent explorations we’ve been discovering the wonders of a diverse environment that we call Texas. Now my focus has been the Texas Hill Country and it is way cool. This Photo however was made indoors – sort of. There’s a place in a city called San Antonio (which I’m told means Saint Anthony – that’s all I know about that, but there’s more) In this burgeoning metropolis (8th, 9th, or 10th largest in U.S. depending) there is a remarkable land known as The Botanical Gardens – how cool is that? In a way I’m a bit sad in revealing the details about this place b/c the image created there was not captured in an exotic land like Botswana or Fiji or even Newark. Although, to me, a gigantic semi-subterranean greenhouse is rather remarkable and exotic. Inside this climate-controlled habitat there is maintained a misty environment filled with plant varieties from all those exotic places. That is the setting for this adventure. Sure – “so what!” – you say, but I say – you just try and make a photo that looks as though it was created in Eden while tourists are milling about – so there – Ha! Naturally I used the trusty Canon G11 – and if you must know I shot at 1/60th of a second, at f2.8, iso 100 using a lens focal length somewhere around 18mm – and I always shoot the RAW format. Alright! – There! – Now you know all my secrets – my career is ended! All my secrets are out – my livelihood is crumbling – oh the horror!!! Right! – Now what’s for lunch? I’m hoping for Tex-Mex – the most wonderful cuisine in the world. I like it b/c there’s always a surprise inside later ~:0) VivaChas!
