We see two little girls standing in the fog on a country road. They are standing in front of a mail box which is open. The older girl is just able to see inside if she stands on her toes. The younger girl is looking down the road while holding a letter in both hands. Behind the girls to their left we see a row of working class houses. Like the trees and road, the houses are shrouded in the fog.
