Here’s that nice 48 Dodge three window coupe in a front 3/4 view. That is a serious piece of design work from the Dodge people back then – or any time. A sporty two-seater that has room for skis in the truck – and that is a long, long trunk – what a car! Today we do that sort of thing with SUVs and then spoil it all by throwing on more body weight and seats. It’s no wonder this great three-window is such a classic. If I ever come across one in my travels that’s for sale I may have to snatch it. It’s definitely a car worth restoring to running and driving order for a daily driver ~:0) This particular car shows evidence of being a driver here at the Luckenbach, Texas car show b/c the driver’s vent is positioned to direct air toward him while driving and the cowl-vent is open as well. The car is covered in road dirt from being driven to the show and there’s nothing close enough to the location to imply any other conclusion except to the most staunch contrarian – and I’ve met my fill of those – Ha! Anyway, the car’s owner told me they drive it regularly and that they drove it to the show – how cool is that! If you come across a nice three-window let me know – what ever you do – do NOT buy it for yourself – I want it ~:0) VivaChas!
