The Gliffords Martyrs (2011)

This is the back of the Gliffords Martyr triptych. It has the three men killed in the attack on Mrs. Gliffords. The men were John Roll (63), Gabe Zimmerman (30) and Dorwan Stoddard (76). The latter died protecting his wife with his body. The all need to be remembered in this crazy world.

I like the Very Different Backdrops Used Between Men and Women. You Portrayed Them All Very Well.

Greetings David and Nicole from a very hot and humid Paris! The cool showery weather of two weeks ago is just a distant memory. The Louvre was heaving with people on Monday (Ascuncion de la Virge). Very sticky and quite stressful! Looking at your brilliant Triptych reminds me of how dangerous human beings are when they get out of control and indulge in the sensless slaughter of innocent people. Perhaps I'm feeling my age!!! Love the portraits though! Bisous from Rusty and SimonXXX

Touching sad story. These portraits are beautiful and I love the background of each of them. These are making the portraits complete. Powerful work!
