Iron

Iron – American Iron – there were a bunch of Harley’s in Luckenbach this Memorial Day and I’ve got the pictures to prove it ~:0))) Yeah – we went to Luckenbach, Texas for the big aniversary celebration this Memorial-Day Weekend. One sign at the event read 150th birthday celebration. The flyer inviting us to the gig mentioned 50th birthday. There was a marker that dated the town’s beginning as 1850 and in the beer joint – slash – post office the date was 1849. Then the light dawned. Luckenbach is old, it’s true. But around 1970 a guy that went by the name of Hondo Crouch bought downtown Luckenbach -from who I don’t know. A short time later Waylan Jennings and Willie Nelson made it famous. Luckenbach for those who’ve never been there – I’m sure those numbers are vast – but Downtown Luckenbach is an open-air party-ville complete with stage, beer, food and – did I mention the beer. It’s a fun place for those who enjoy driving out to Luckenbach and listening to great music and bending an elbow. Music greats like Willie Nelson and others often see to the entertainment and a good time is had by all. I’ll be sharing more about our trip out to Luckenbach to be with Waylan and Willie and the Boys – Sadly Waylan left us in 2002 but he was with us all in spirit – - – VivaChas! - visit vivachas dotcom ~:0)

Artist Reply: Thanks - think I'm staying in Texas - especially if they secede - I'm fascinated by the gang at The Texas Independence Movement - they are a busy lot - never happen though - too complex - Ha! ~:0)
