A new day’s born to all of us.
It gives us time that we remember,
that Jesus Christ died at a cross.
As token that we’re not forgetting,
that someone in our life did care,
we color eggs as newborn token
and break the bread that we can share.
I don’t believe in “all” those stories,
but sometimes also I agree:
That what is told inside the bible,
such caring love should always be.

Vandaag is geen dag om iets te vieren.
Een nieuwe dag breekt voor ons aan.
Hij geeft ons tijd om te herinneren,
dat Jezus Christus aan het kruis stierf.
Als teken dat wij dat niet vergeten,
dat in het leven, iemand om ons gaf,
kleuren we eieren als nieuw geboren teken
en breken wij het brood om te delen.
Ik geloof niet in “al” die verhalen,
maar soms beken ook ik dat feit:
Wat in de bijbel is geschreven,
die zorg en liefde zou er altijd moeten zijn.
