Oil on canvas. From 1994. My first oil painting based on people, it was done using a small 3x5 photo of them as a reference. It shows Steve, my best friend and mentor throughout college, and his family. He loved this one and had it framed and kept in his office at his house. He left behind his wife and 2 kids when the Lord called him home in dec.2003 from complications after his bone marrow transplant. Steve and one of his good friends tried to outbid each other in an auction after I volunteered to do a family portrait and the proceeds would go to helping someone in our college club go to a summer bible study trip.
