Artist Comments: "In my travels around the country, I see a lot of interesting subjects to paint. On one such occasion, on the back road from Ellensburg to Yakima in Washington State, my husband and I saw this weathered vehicle. The long hours of harsh sunlight had patinaed the white paint to a kind of rainbow glow. The green of the grass and the golden sky begged to be painted. The overall mood is one of patient waiting for the sun to go down on this hot summer day."
