Commissioned portrait of Avaree and Penny (Golden Retriever). Original digital painting, not an altered or manipulated photograph. Hand painted using Microsoft Paint and a mouse.
Excellent artwork Carole. I love the lively eyes of the little girl, and the dog looks so noble and comfortable in the girl's presence.
Artist Reply: Thank you! I know both the little girl (Avaree) and the dog (Penny), and they are both as lovely as can be. Just hoping I did them justice!
Carole: From my point of view, this is the very best work you've done so far. It is GORGEOUS!! At first I thought I was looking at an oil portrait and then I thought it might be a photograph and when I went in for a quickzoom, I was delighted to see it was your regular Microsoft work. I don't have any idea who commissioned this portrait but they really wound up with a treasure! Averee's face is so lovely and Penny looks like a true-blue friend. The combined colors (especially the dress) are magnets that draw the viewer's eye in to the portrait. I LOVE IT!! Congratulations!
