Istanbul has 9 islands in Marmara Sea, distance varies between 7-13 miles from Anatolian Side.The biggest one is Büyükada (meaning big island) which is 5.46 km2.The islands also called Prince Islands.Because,during the Byzantion and Ottoman periods,princes and some other royalty were exiled there.There is no traffic in islands (forbidden) but you can walk,have a bcycle or horse drawn carriege..
