This 1959 Ford Fairlane model was sold between 1955 and 1970. 1957 had introduced a retractable solid hardtop (on this Fairlane 500 Skyliner model) that folded into the trunk at the touch of a button.

I do remember this car,@ a classic car show ,the owner of the car would show the Viewers how this Hardtop Convertible top would all go into the Trunk of the car,he said he goes through several batteries because it took a lot of power on the Hydrolics to put the top down & Up,not like our Hardtop convertibles today,I myself have a VW EOS 2.0 turbo Hardtop convertible which I brought to show him ,it was like a Robot.
