Howard Simpson brings a much under valued medium to the fore by using graphite pencil to "paint" beautifully conceived, sensuous portraits and life drawings in a style he has made his own.
Textures of skin, fabric and shades of light and dark create living, rounded forms showing what can be achieved with such a simple and underrated medium in the hands of an artist who breathes in understanding and breathes out sensitivity.
Also working in oil and other media.
Commissions welcomed.
