Self Portrait

John Houle is a Canadian artist that enjoys painting whatever inspires him.

Wildlife often taking up the majority of his interest, and Portraits a close second, but not one to limit himself to one style or subject matter, John also enjoys trying his hand at surrealism, impressionism, and even a bit of fantasy art.He also sculpts when the mood strikes him and has been working on illustrating several Children's books.

A few words from John.

Inspiration can come from many different things and being able to make what I envision come alive before my eyes is very satisfying. My art has always been a part of my life. At times it was sacrificed to let other areas of interest have their time in the light, but in the past several years it has been at the forefront of my life's interests.
