	12 May 2025 I have a rare original Stanton Manolakas that has no prints on the market, it is dated 1986 and titled "City of Peking, New York". I contacted Stanton just prior to his passing and asked him if he minded authenticaing i for me. He responded by explaining it was one of his earlier works and was sold at an art gallery in Los Angeles immediately to pay bills. He believed he had sold it for $5,000.00 at the time which matched the figure of the man who gifted me to piece saying his father had bought it for $5k and it hung in his office ever since his passing. I knew I had a fine art original in my possession just by looking at it. So when I spoke with Stanton he asked me if he could send someone out to take a special photo of it so he could have prints made to sell. Then something odd happened... someone had returned home and his demeanor switched to that of a frightend child who had been caught or in trouble for something? I had asked why I should consider allowing prints to exist of an original, would that not decrease it's value for potential sale? And the I never heard from or received and more reply's to my emails since. So, I am wondering who showed up and was Stanton already deceased? Was someone, a relative perhaps, a friend of the family, trying to get me to allow a total stranger to come collect and original unkown piece without offering a receipt or bond, etc, to just hand it over to?
